PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) has set a downstream steel production target of up to 100,000 tons per year, with a domestic market potential of 250,000 tons per year.

"Therefore, in the future there will be two other downstream steel products which are targeted to be launched in 2021. Hopefully it can contribute to increasing our sales volume, "said KS President Director Silmy Karim on a press release on Friday (28/5).

He assessed that the high demand for downstream steel products in the market made Krakatau Steel want to increase the opportunity to meet the demand for downstream steel products in Indonesia. This downstream product will become a new facility for Krakatau Steel and its partners with the concept of sharing economy and the principle of mutual benefit to penetrate the domestic market.
