Antam Net Profit Surges 132% to Rp1.5 Trillion in 1st Quarter 2022

Jakarta - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) posted a surge in profit for the year attributable to owners in the first quarter of this year by around 132% to Rp1.47 trillion, compared to the same period last year of only Rp630.38 billion.

According to Antam's Corporate Secretary, Syarif Faisal Alkadrie, Antam's success in reducing the cost of revenue by around 3.75% to Rp7.299 trillion from Rp7.584 trillion supported the higher profit achievement.

Antam's net sales also grew by around 6% to Rp9.75 trillion from Rp9.21 trillion. Domestic net sales contributed to the dominant achievement of Rp7.42 trillion, or 76% of Antam's total net sales in the first three months of this year.

Operating profit also rose about 104% to Rp1.62 trillion from Rp793.89 billion. Supporting factors were optimizing sales levels and optimal management of cost of goods sold and sales operating, and positive catalysts for rising global commodity prices.
