Jakarta - PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) posted a net profit for the current period in the first quarter of 2022, reaching Rp577.19 billion, an increase of around 3,027% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp18.45 billion.

"The net profit has included the results of the Burger King divestment transaction, which the company realized in the first quarter of this year," said MAPI VP Investor Relations Ratih Darmawan Gianda in a statement released in Jakarta on Monday (5/23).

This positive net profit achievement was supported by an increase in net income of around 30.6% to Rp5.6 trillion from Rp4.3 trillion, with gross profit margin growing by 42.9% from 41.7%.

According to Ratih, sales and profit growth in the first quarter of 2022 reflect the company's belief in the business model for MAPI, which effectively combines multi-channel retail across all digital channel outlets owned by the company and third-party marketplaces.
