Jakarta - PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) posted a surge in profit attributable to owners in the first half of this year by around 72.88% to Rp955.461 billion from the same period last year of Rp550.390 billion.

The company's financial report released on Monday (7/25) showed that profit growth was supported by high revenue from contracts with customers, which nearly doubled to Rp21.983 trillion from Rp10.592 trillion.

The rate of other operating expenses was successfully reduced by about three times to Rp1,688 billion from the previous Rp3,372 billion. AAKR also achieved a profit on the sale of fixed assets of around Rp3.151 billion from the previous only Rp1.134 billion.

Unfortunately, the cost of goods sold and revenues more than doubled from Rp9.614 trillion to Rp20.491 trillion.

Selling expenses swelled by around 70.79% to Rp38,001 billion from Rp22,250 billion.

AKR also had to bear the foreign exchange loss of Rp19.243 billion
