Jakarta - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk posted net profit growth of 66.8% throughout 2021 to Rp28.03 trillion.

In a press release on Friday (28/1), Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi said, "The optimization of the company's intermediation function in line with positive economic growth supported the increase in net profit."

He added that at the end of 2021, Bank Mandiri's credit rate on a consolidated basis was able to grow positively by 8.86% YoY to Rp1,050 trillion, higher than the industry's credit growth of 5.2%.

"When broken down by segment, corporate loans are still one of the drivers of growth, with the realization reaching IDR370 trillion, or growing 8%, while commercial loans grew 9.7%, to Rp174 trillion," he explained.

The intermediation function was also offset by solid growth in third-party funds, which amounted to 12.8% to Rp1,291 trillion, higher than the growth of industrial deposits of 12.2%.<
