Jakarta - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) recorded a growth in net profit attributable to owners in 2022 of around 29.63% to Rp40.735 trillion from Rp31.422 trillion the previous year.

Based on the financial report published on Friday (1/27), the more robust net profit was supported by the high net interest and sharia income of around 13.99% to Rp63.989 trillion from Rp56.135 trillion.

BCA's total loans increased by around 11.7% to Rp711.3 trillion, exceeding the planned growth target of around 8–10%. This achievement supported demand deposits and savings (CASA) to grow 10.6% to Rp874.9 trillion.

In total, third-party funds grew by around 6.5% to Rp1,040 trillion, driving up BCA assets by about 7% to Rp1,315 trillion.

Improvements followed BCA's growth in loan quality. The loan at risk (LAR) ratio fell to 10% from 14.6%, and the non-performing loan ratio (NPL) was recorded at 1.7% from 2.2%.
