Jakarta - PT Pegadaian recorded a net profit growth for the year attributable to owners in the first half of this year of around 35.86% to Rp1.773 trillion from the same period last year of Rp1.305 trillion.

The company's financial report released on Thursday (7/21) showed that the increase in Pegadaian's net profit was supported by the company's success in reducing its operating expenses by around 2.01% to Rp8,548 trillion from Rp8,724 trillion.

Operating income also increased by around 4.07% to Rp10,862 trillion from Rp10,437 trillion. Operating profit jumped by around 35.16% to Rp2.314 trillion from Rp1.712 trillion.

Pegadaian's total assets as of the end of June this year were recorded at Rp68.744 trillion, with Rp41.907 trillion in liabilities and Rp26.837 trillion in equity.

Meanwhile, the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the year was Rp422.745 billion.
