Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya Tbk posted a decrease in net profit attributable to owners in the first quarter of this year by around 98.30% to Rp1.328 billion compared to the same period last year which reached Rp78.63 billion.

The company's financial report released on Monday (7/11) shows the low net profit achievement as a result of WIKA's net income shrinking by around 19.39% to Rp3.163 trillion from Rp3.924 trillion.

Operating profit decreased by around 15.79%, from Rp331,694 billion to Rp279,304 billion. Higher other expenses by about 57.32% to Rp180.019 billion from Rp120.145 billion, curbing the operating profit.

Nevertheless, WIKA managed to reduce the cost of revenue by around 23.28% to Rp2.804 trillion from Rp3.655 trillion. 

Finance expenses decreased by around 14.99% to Rp283,328 billion from Rp333,290 billion.
