Jakarta - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (BJBR) recorded a profit growth for the year attributable to owners in the first quarter of this year by 24.38% to Rp596.23 billion, compared to the same period last year of Rp479.32 billion.

The company's financial report released on Wednesday (4/27) showed that the increase in profit was supported by the rise in net interest and sharia income of around 13.70%, to Rp2.016 trillion from Rp1.773 trillion.

BJBR also almost doubled its operating income to Rp412.557 billion from Rp275.182 billion.

Unfortunately, other operating expenses increased by around 15.46%, to Rp1.687 trillion from Rp1.461 trillion.

Despite the swelling operating expenses, BJBR was still able to increase its operating profit by around 26.19%, to Rp741,278 billion, from Rp587,893 billion.
