Jakarta - PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk (BLTA) recorded a decrease in profit for the year attributable to owners of around 26.65% to US$2.309 million in the first half of this year from US$3.148 million in the same period last year.

The financial report released Friday (9/2) showed a decline in operating income of around 7.97% to US$8.452 million from US$9.148 million, dragging the low-profit.

However, the company reduced shipping costs by around 5.71% to US$1.798 million from US$1.907 million.

The profit share of associates and joint ventures rose by around 41.98% to US$2.792 million from US$1.922 million.

Meanwhile, BLTA's total assets reached US$70.784 million, with liabilities of US$36.440 million and equity of US$34.343 million.

Meanwhile, the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period was US$5.558 million.
