First Semester, HM Sampoerna Net Profit Falls 15.41% to Rp4.13 Trillion
PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) posted a decrease in profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent entity in the first half of this year by around 15.41% to Rp4.13 trillion compared to the same period the previous year of Rp4.88 trillion.
The financial report published Friday (30/7), the low-profit achievement was triggered by an increase in the cost of goods sold by around 10.85%, from Rp34.99 trillion to Rp38.79 trillion.
Selling expenses also increased by about 5.82% to Rp2.99 trillion from Rp2.83 trillion, and finance costs increased by about 6.55% to Rp23.98 billion from Rp22.50 billion.
Nevertheless, the company's sales achievement increased by about 6.47%, from Rp44.73 trillion to Rp47.62 trillion.
Meanwhile, HMSP's total assets until the period ending June 2021 were recorded at Rp44.7 trillion, with liabilities worth Rp18.78 trillion and equity Rp25.91 trillion.
