Jakarta - PT Krakatau Steel Tbk recorded an increase in profit in the first quarter of 2022 by 15.02% to Rp384.23 billion from the same period last year, Rp329 billion.

The positive profit performance was supported by revenue, which increased 39.6% to Rp9.78 trillion compared to last year's same period at Rp7 trillion.

In terms of EBITDA, it managed to achieve a realization of Rp772.26 billion.

In terms of tonnage, sales increased by 7.5%, from 492kT to 529kT. The production also grew by 9.5%, or from 483KT to 529KT.

Krakatau Steel Steel also set a new record for export sales in March 2022, with 116.406 tons sold in the first three months of the year. Domestic steel sales also grew, with a record domestic steel shipment of 245,000 tonnes in March 2022.
