Jakarta - PT Semen Indonesia Tbk, as of the first quarter of 2022, posted a profit for the period attributable to owners of Rp498.56 billion, an increase of about 10.70% compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp450.36 billion.

In the financial report released on Friday (5/27), the increase in profit was supported by a low financial burden of around 26.22%, to Rp327.30 billion from Rp443.63 billion.

The company successfully reduced the rate of selling expenses by around 3.60%, bringing to Rp647.64 billion, or down from Rp671.85 billion.

The company also pocketed the net proceeds of associates and joint ventures of Rp1.30 billion, down from the previous burden of around Rp2.27 billion.

Meanwhile, revenue only increased by about 0.74%, to Rp8.13 trillion from Rp8.07 trillion.

Until the end of March 2022, the company's total assets were at Rp76.51 trillion, with liabilities of Rp35.39 trillion and equity of Rp39.38 trill
