Bakrie and Brother Net Loss Shrinks 63% to Rp46.46 Billion


PT Bakrie and Brothers Tbk (BNBR) managed to reduce losses attributable to owners of the parent entity in the first semester of 2021 by around 62.93% to Rp46.46 billion compared to the same period the previous year, which reached Rp125.34 billion.

The company's financial report published on Tuesday (3/8) showed that the support for the success in suppressing the loss was supported by the low cost of revenue of around 21.07% or from Rp1.08 trillion to Rp.857.28 billion.

Total operating expenses also shrank by around 26.83% to Rp208.08 billion from Rp284.40 billion.

In addition, BNBR managed to pocket a profit on the sale of shares of Rp108.91 billion.

The company's net income decreased by around 21.18% to Rp1.03 trillion in the first semester of 2021 compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp1.31 trillion.

Until the end of June 2021, BNBR's total assets were recorded at Rp14.80 trillion, with cash and cash equi
