Liquidity Ample, Bank Maybank Cancels Plan to Sell Rp4 Trillion Bonds


PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk decided to stop the remaining sustainable public issuance bonds III program of Rp4 trillion because the company's liquidity was still sufficient.

Referring to Maybank's board of directors letter to IDX as of June 21, 2021, the target for funds to be raised through the sustainable bonds III program is Rp5 trillion.

However, until the end of the bond sale period, June 19, 2021, the company issued Rp1 trillion by issuing sustainable bonds III program phase I in 2019.

In phase I of the sustainable bonds III program, the company issued the bonds in three series, namely series A worth Rp308 billion, series B Rp624 billion, and series C amounting to Rp68 billion.

"The total remaining funds for  sustainable bonds III program that has yet not been issued amount to Rp4 trillion. The reason for not issuing them because the company's liquidity is still sufficient until the end of the sustainable bonds II
