Lippo Karawaci Sees Sales Growth of 30% in 2021


Property developer  PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) targets sales growth by the end of this year to reach 30%.

Lippo Karawaci CEO John Riady said he was optimistic that LPKR's sales trend would continue to increase, especially from the first-time homebuyer segment among young people.

"This trend arises because of the high demand for housing, especially from millennials and Indonesia is a country with the largest population of young people," he said in his statement on Thursday (5/8).

Based on its financial report as of June 30, 2021, LPKR posted revenue of Rp7.22 trillion, an increase of 35.56% compared to the same period last year of Rp5.33 trillion.

Real estate development revenue growth of 47.17% YoY to Rp1.93 trillion supported the increase in LPKR's revenue. 

Meanwhile, LPKR's pre-sales or marketing sales revenue rose 122% YoY to Rp2.33 trillion in the first half of 2021.
