PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) has repaid the principal and the fourth interest payment of the 2020 series A continuous bonds I phase I of  Rp689.80 billion on August 9, 2021.

The number of bonds maturing on August 7, 2021, consists of principal bonds of Rp673.650 billion and interest of the four bonds of Rp16.15 billion.

"The source of funding used by the company to pay off the principal and pay interest on the four bonds comes from the company's internal cash," said MDKA Corporate Secretary Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri in the IDX information disclosure on Tuesday (10/8).

According to Adi, the purpose of the transaction is to repay the principal and pay the fourth interest on the maturing bonds.

"With the repayment of the principal and interest payments on the bonds, all of the company's obligations on interest have ended," he said.
