Jakarta - PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) achieved a jump in net profit for the period attributable to owners for the first six months of this year by around 280.44% to Rp1.031 trillion from the same period last year of only Rp271 billion.

The company's financial statements published on Monday (8/8) show that the surge in net profit was boosted by a gain on the sale of associates of Rp282.754 billion, foreign exchange gains of around Rp4.755 billion from a loss of Rp1.794 billion, and other gains of about Rp40.354 billion from a loss of Rp5.159 billion.

MAPI also managed to increase its net income by around 34.09%, to Rp12.248 trillion, from Rp9.134 trillion.

Operating profit increased by around 93.85%, to Rp1.324 trillion from Rp683 billion.

The company successfully reduced the pace of financial expenses by around 23.56% to Rp195.446 billion, down from Rp255.702 billion.
