PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) posted a decrease in net sales of around 12.85% to Rp92.42 trillion in 2020 compared to the previous year, Rp106.05 trillion.

Based on the financial reports published on Wednesday (24/3), profit for the year attributable to the parent company owners throughout 2020 decreased by around 37.46%, to Rp8.58 trillion from Rp13.72 trillion.

Another trigger for the decline in profit was financial income which fell by around 36.13% to Rp765.55 billion from Rp1.198 trillion, and the share of net proceeds from associated entities shrank significantly or nearly quadrupled to Rp3.53 billion from Rp11.64 billion.

As for the end of December 2020, HMSP's total assets were recorded at Rp49.67 trillion, down from the same period the previous year, Rp50.90 trillion. These assets consist of equity of around Rp30.24 trillion and liabilities of Rp19.43 trillion.
