Permata Bank Targets Acquisition of 12 Million QR Merchants
PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) focuses on encouraging non-cash transactions and is targeting merchant acquisitions made this year to reach 12 million QRIS merchants.
Bank Permata Digital Channel Head Indra Gunawan said the company has collaborated with Bank Indonesia and PD Pasar Jaya to provide non-cash transaction solutions. The company hopes that traditional market traders and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will enter the non-cash transaction ecosystem.
"Through PermataQR, we focus on working on the micro or MSME segment, which is the backbone of the national economy. We hope to become the leading partner for Bank Indonesia to achieve the target of 12 million QRIS merchants, which aims to create digital financial inclusion in society, "he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/4).
According to Indra, through transactions using QR, his party ensures merchants will get various benefits such as increasing sales.
"Customers can reduce cash / small money management costs because they do not require change, transactions are recorded automatically and reduce the potential for receiving counterfeit money and reduce the risk of cash loss or theft," he explained.
Also, Permata Bank provides 30% cashback to PermataMobile X users for every transaction at Permata QR merchants.
