Pupuk Indonesia Eyes to Become Top Asia of Ammonia Producer
Jakarta - PT Pupuk Indonesia is optimistic that it can become a significant player in Asia's blue ammonia and green ammonia production.
According to Bakir Pasaman, President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, the global ammonia trade volume currently stands at 21 million tons. However, in 2030, the trading volume of ammonia for energy sources is predicted to reach 30 million tons.
"As a result, the entire world is beginning to think about producing both green and blue ammonia," he said in a written statement issued on Thursday (8/25).
Besides the potential to become a significant player in Asia, the development of blue and green ammonia as an environmentally friendly energy source is also one of the company's efforts to support carbon emission reduction targets.
To realize this, Bakir explained, Pupuk Indonesia has carried out various kinds of cooperation, with a roadmap consisting of three stages.
