Jakarta - PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk (SGRO) recorded an increase in profit for the period attributable to owners in the first semester of 2022 by around 39.35% to Rp539.128 billion compared to the same period last year of Rp386.863 billion.

In the company's financial report released on Thursday (28/7), the more robust profit was supported by the lower cost of goods sold by around 14.35% to Rp1.539 trillion from Rp1.797 trillion.

Finance costs also shrank by around 21.83%, to Rp102,617 billion from Rp131.287 billion.

Meanwhile, SGRO sales were relatively stable at the level of Rp. 2.623 trillion during the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year of Rp2.666 trillion.

In addition, SGRO must accept the burden of changes in the fair value of biological assets of Rp79.613 billion from the previous income of around Rp6.612 billion.
