Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) stated that the issuance of 28.2 billion new shares (right issue) in the context of forming an ultra-micro holding had been fully absorbed and oversubscribed with a total of Rp95.6 trillion.

The President Director of BRI Sunarso stated this at the online Opening Bell event at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (29/9).

According to him, the total value of BRI's rights issue consists of Rp54.7 trillion in government non-cash participation and Rp41.2 trillion in cash proceeds from public shareholders, of which Rp27.9 trillion came from foreign shareholders.

Following the results of the rights issue, the lender can still maintain public share ownership above 40% in accordance with BRI's target.
