Rupiah Seen Weak to Dollar amid Worries over Rising Global Inflation
Jakarta - The exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar on Wednesday (10/11) is likely to weaken, triggered by market participants withdrawing from risky assets this morning.
"US and European stock indices closed negative yesterday and this morning some Asian indices were negative," said money market analyst Ariston Tjendra.
According to Ariston, market players are wary of rising global inflation that could slow down economic growth.
In addition, market participants will wait for inflation data from the two countries with the world's largest economies, namely China and the US.
"This morning, China's inflation data for October will be released and US inflation data will be released in the evening," he explained.
