Jakarta - The rupiah exchange rate on Monday (1/11) has the potential to experience pressure as market players await the Fed's policy regarding the application of tapering and its amount.

"Market attention will be on the announcement of the US Central Bank's monetary policy on Thursday morning this week," said Money Market Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

The potential for weakening is still towards 14,200 per US dollar, with potential support in the range of 14,150 per US dollar.

On the other hand, Asian stock indices generally moved positively this morning, indicating that market interest in risk assets is still high.

"This may be able to withstand the weakening of the exchange rate," he said.
