Sampoerna Agro Plans to Sell Bonds, Sukuk Rp831 Billion


Jakarta - PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk (AGRO) plans to issue debt securities totaling Rp830.5 billion.

Based on the prospectus released on Tuesday (15/2), these notes consist of sustainable bonds phase III in 2022 with a principal amount of Rp525.38 billion and sustainable sukuk ijarah phase III in 2022 with remaining ijarah fees of Rp305.11 billion.

There are two series of bonds offered, namely series A worth Rp75 billion with a coupon of 7.15% and a tenor of 3 years, and series B worth Rp450.38 billion with a coupon of 8.40% and a tenor of 5 years.

The sustainable sukuk ijarah also has two series, each worth Rp75 billion and Rp230.11 billion.

The company will use the proceeds from the bond issuance of around 34% for the accelerated payment of part of the principal of the bank loan to Indonesia Eximbank and 66% for the payment of part of the principal of the bank loan of PT Sungai Rangit to Bank Mandiri.
