PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) posted a net profit growth for the current year of Rp1.906 trillion in 2020 or grew 11.92% compared to the previous year Rp1.703 trillion.

On Tuesday (30/3), the financial report states that SMI's operating income throughout 2020 increased by around 8.70% from Rp5.321 trillion to Rp5.784 trillion. Operating expenses increased slightly by 5.19% to Rp3,242 trillion from Rp3,082 trillion.

The share of profit in joint ventures also tripled or from Rp4,792 billion to Rp12,753 billion. SMI also succeeded in reducing other expenses by around 76.22% or from Rp.82.316 million to Rp.19.571 million.

However, the company had to suffer a foreign exchange loss of Rp9.033 billion during 2020. In contrast, it managed to reap a foreign exchange gain of around Rp536.173 million in the previous year. Other income was also drained by around 84.03%, from Rp136,550 million to Rp21,797 million.

Until the end of 2020, SMI's total assets were recorded to have increased by around 32.87% to Rp100,740 trillion from Rp75,818 trillion in the previous year Rp60,879 trillion in liabilities and Rp37.523 trillion in equity.

Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the year also jumped around 52.68% to Rp15.014 trillion from Rp9.833 trillion the previous year.
