Jakarta - PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG) posted a profit for the period attributable to owners for the January-September 2021 period of around Rp14.07 trillion or an increase of 1,074% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp1.19 trillion.

Based on the financial report released Monday (1/11), the surge in profit was supported by the high net gain on an investment in shares and other equity securities of around 2.023% to Rp13.82 trillion from Rp651 billion.

Saratoga also benefited from changes in the fair value of investment properties of Rp721 million. There was also a gain on other derivative financial instruments of Rp178 million from the previous loss of Rp35.43 billion.

The foreign exchange loss was successfully suppressed more than five times or from Rp132.69 billion to only Rp25.53 billion.

As of the first nine months of this year, Saratoga's total assets reached Rp49.40 trillion, with liabilities of Rp4.21 trilli
