Jakarta - PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS) is pushing for a production target of 520,000 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) by the end of this year.

Sawit Sumbermas Corporate Secretary Sarana Swasti Kartikaningtyas said that apart from the increase in CPO prices, another positive sentiment for the company was the increase in international commodity prices, such as the increase in the price of palm kernel (PK) and palm kernel oil (PKO).

"An increase in demand for CPO both from within and outside the country still support the prospect of palm oil next year," he said in his statement, Tuesday (26/10).

According to Swasti, the company wants to increase downstream products to pursue added value.

"Last year, the portion of SSMS' export sales was around 10-15% of the total production. The majority of SSMS's CPO sales are sold to PT Citra Borneo Utama, which processes CPO into downstream products such as olein, stearein and others
