Minister Sri Mulyani Sees Inflation 1.33% in FIrst Semester


Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the inflation rate throughout the first semester of 2021 was 1.33%, or lower than the final 2021 prospect of 3%.

"Then, the 10-year government securities interest rate is 6.95 percent or below the final assumption of 7.29 percent in 2021," he said during a press conference on the results of the Plenary Session in Jakarta on Monday (5/7).

Another macroeconomic indicator is the rupiah exchange rate which was at Rp14,299 per US dollar in the first half of this year or lower than the assumption at the end of 2021 of Rp14,600 per US dollar.

Oil prices were at US$62 per barrel, higher than the assumption at the end of this year of US$45 per barrel. However, the realization of oil lifting in the first six months of this year was lower,  663 thousand barrels per day against the assumption of 705 barrels per day.

Meanwhile, natural gas lifting is still below the government's assump
