Bank BCA Net Profit Rises 25% in Jan-Jun


Jakarta - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) recorded a 24.9% increase in net profit in the first half of this year to Rp18.049 trillion compared to the same period last year at Rp14,455 trillion.

This accomplishment was supported by a high net interest income of approximately 5.3% to Rp29.8 trillion, and income other than interest rose 8.9% to Rp11.1 trillion, supported by a stronger fee and commission income of 15%, according to a press release from BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja on Thursday (7/28).

He said that the company recorded total operating income at Rp40.9 trillion, or a growth of 6.3%. This achievement was supported by an increase in total loans of around 13.5% to Rp38.2 trillion.

Loan growth was realized in all segments, mainly supported by corporate loans, which rose 19.1% to reach Rp310.2 trillion. Commercial and SME loans rose 10.9% to Rp197.5 trillion. Mortgages also grew 8.5% to Rp101.6 trillion. Motor vehicle loans increased 4
