KPEI Net Profit Soars 1,352% YoY to Rp102.76 Billion in First Half 2021


Jakarta - PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI) in the first semester of 2021 posted a net profit of Rp102.76 billion, an increase of around 1,352% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp7.07 billion.

Based on KPEI's financial report released on Wednesday (1/9), the increase in net profit was supported by revenue gains in the first semester of 2021, amounting to Rp304.63 billion, an increase of around 89.36% compared to the same period in 2020 of Rp160.87 billion.

KPEI also earned part of the associates' net profit of Rp1.80 billion from the previous loss of around Rp1.684 billion.

The operating expenses, however, increased by about 26.54% to Rp170.41 billion from Rp134.66 billion.

KPEI's total assets in the first semester of 2021 were at Rp4.67 trillion, with liabilities of Rp2.98 trillion and equity of Rp1.69 trillion.
