First Semester, Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Net Loss Shrinks 38.35% YoY


Jakarta - PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk (UNSP) reported a decrease in net loss attributable to owners of the parent entity during the first semester of around 38.35% to US$238.245 from US$386,504.

In the company's financial report published on Thursday (30/9), UNSP's ability to narrow its loss was supported by a 56.02% increase in net sales to US$1.774 million from US$1.137 million.

In addition, UNSP was able to increase its financial income by about two times or from US$298 to US$934. Foreign exchange losses also decreased by about 0.66% to US$361,243 from US$363,664.

However, the cost of goods sold increased by around 27.81%, or from US$1.021 million to US$1.305 million.

Until the first semester of 2021, UNSP's total assets reached US$7,920 million, with liabilities of around US$15,280 million and a capital deficiency of US$7,359 million.
