Partnership with MAPI, Subway® Opens Outlets in Indonesia in Fourth Quarter
Jakarta - Subway®, the world's largest sandwich chain, has signed a cooperation agreement with PT Sari Sandwich Indonesia, a subsidiary of food & beverage (F&B) retailer PT Map Boga Adiperkasa Tbk (MBA).
The agreement marks Subway®'s aggressive plans for international expansion. This partnership will bring Subway®'s first restaurants in Indonesia in the fourth quarter of 2021, opening in the Greater Jakarta area.
"The high demand for Subway® restaurant presence comes from various countries in the world, including in Indonesia," said John Chidsey, Subway's Chief Executive Officer, through a press release on Tuesday (24/8).
He emphasized that MAP, a leading lifestyle retailer in Indonesia, is an ideal partner to start Subway's expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
