Jakarta - PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) announced that Tencent Holdings Ltd had become one of the company's minority shareholders.

According to FILM, this investment shows that Tencent has a positive view of the content industry in Indonesia and a strong belief in market leadership and the growth potential of MD Pictures.

"We are enthusiastic to welcome Tencent as a new investor in FILM," said MD Pictures CEO Manof Punjabi in a company press release on Friday (22/10).

He added that this investment reflects Tencent's ongoing commitment as a cutting-edge technology company to develop the content industry globally.
