Bank BCA Posts 15% Rise in Net Profit to Rp8 Trillion in First Quarter
Jakarta - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) recorded a 14.6% increase in net profit in the first quarter of 2022 to Rp8.1 trillion, from the same period last year of Rp7.039 trillion.
"The increase in net profit in the first quarter of 2022 was supported by business growth, including increased credit, transaction, and CASA activities," said BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja in a press release on Friday (4/22).
In line with the recovery of the national economy, total loans increased by 8.6% to reach Rp637.1 trillion. Credit growth occurred in all segments, both business and consumer loans.
Current accounts and savings funds (CASA) continued to grow by 21.7% to Rp798.2 trillion and contributed up to 80% of the total third-party funds recorded at Rp997.8 trillion, or grew 17.5%.
