Wijaya Karya Eyes to Bag Rp40.12 Trillion New Contracts in 2021


PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) targets to bag new contracts amounting to Rp40.12 trillion this year, and the acquisition of contracts in hand (order book) is estimated to be around Rp115.02 trillion.

"These projects will become production capital for the next few years, so that with the current capacity, WIKA will continue to grow. We are sure that by implementing the Covid-19 prevention protocol and healthy living habits, the targets that have been set can be achieved and will continue to make various achievements, "said the President Director of WIKA, Agung Budi Waskito, in Jakarta, on Friday (26/3).

Regarding the performance throughout 2020, WIKA posted a net profit of IDR 322.34 billion. This achievement was about 54.81% higher than the company's review target due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sales of Rp supported this net profit achievement. 16.54 trillion according to financial reports until December 31, 2020.

The most significant contribution from sales came from the infrastructure and building sectors, followed by the industrial, energy, and industrial plant and property sectors.

"Even though it is in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company's financial condition has been proven to remain healthy, which is reflected in the positive cash flow from its operating activities of Rp.141.28 billion," said Agung.
