Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya plans to diversify its business into the industrial and mining sectors.

"The strategy is no longer dependent on the general construction sector, such as infrastructure. Later we will move towards industrial and mining," said WIKA's Director of Finance and Risk Management Ade Wahyu, in an online public presentation on Wednesday (8/9).

In line with Ade, WIKA's Director of HC and Development Mursyid revealed, the plan follows the assignment of the Ministry of SOEs.

"We will enter the industry and mining according to the assignment of shareholders, where WIKA's specialization is mining and metal, including the oil and gas industry. We have formed an engineering division in order to prepare superior human resources," he explained.
