PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) along with PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama Tbk (JKON) and PT Tirta Gemah Rimah (TGR) teamed up to set a joint venture called PT Wika Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur to carry out drinking water supply services projects.

In an official statement on Wednesday (20/1), Wijaya Karya Corporate Secretary Mahendra Vijaya said that Wijaya Karya and its consortium had won and awarded in the tender for a national strategic project, obligating the consortium to form a joint venture. 

"The formation of a joint venture has a positive impact on the sustainability of the company's business activities, as well as added value through investments made by the company," said Mahendra.

The Company made an initial deposit of Rp3 billion to the joint venture company established on January 15, 2021. 

The joint venture's shareholdings consist of Wijaya Karya as much as 30%, Jakon 60%, and TGR 10%.

Previously, the consortium led by Wijaya Karya, JKON, and TGR officially won the auction for a joint venture project between the government and the Jatiluhur Regional Drinking Water Supply System business entity.
