EXCL Eyes to Raise Rp5 Trillion from Rights Issue


Jakarta - PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) plans to raise funds through additional capital by providing Preemptive Rights III of Rp4.999 trillion.

Based on the company's prospectus published on Thursday (12/8), XL will issue 2.403 billion new shares, or 18.13% of the issued and fully paid capital, with a price of Rp2,080.

Axiata Investments Indonesia Sdn Bhd (AII), as the main shareholder and owner of 6.559 billion shares of the company, will exercise all of its preemptive rights for a total of Rp3.074 trillion.

AII also acts as a standby buyer with a maximum amount of Rp1.925 trillion.

A maximum of 18.31% will dilute shareholders who do not exercise their rights in rights issue III.

XL will use proceeds from rights issue III to pay off part of the company's debt.
