Bank Rakyat Plans to Sell Rp5 Trillion of Green Bonds


Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk plans to issue environmentally sustainable bonds I phase I 2022 worth Rp5 trillion.

The prospectus issued Wednesday (22/6), the number of environmentally friendly bonds is part of the environmentally sustainable bonds I program with a target of raising funds of Rp15 trillion.

In this first stage, the state-owned bank offers environmentally sound bonds in three series,  series A with a tenor of 370 days, series B for three years, and series C for five years.

The Company will use the proceeds from the issuance of environmentally sound bonds to refinance or finance activities in environmentally sound business activities and working capital.

BRI has received a rating from Pefindo,  'AAA'.

In order to issue bonds, the company appointed PT Bahana Sekuritas, PT BCA Sekuritas, PT BNI Sekuritas, PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, PT Indopremier Sekuritas as underwriters and PT Bank Negara Indo
