First Quarter, ENRG Net Profit Jumps 67% on Rising Oil, Gas Prices


Jakarta - PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), as of the first quarter of 2022, posted a net profit of US$10.28 million, or a 67% jump compared to the same period in the previous year of US$6.15 million.

Net profit growth was supported by high sales of around 40% to US$112.57 million from US$80.22 million.

Operating income also increased 27%, from US$31.82 million to US$40.31 million.

"This growth achievement was supported by the increase in gas production from the Kangean and Bentu blocks. Furthermore, oil production has also increased from the Malacca Strait block, "said ENRG President Director Syailendra S Bakrie in an official statement Thursday (6/2).

He explained that while gas production rose 23% to 212 million cubic feet per day in the first quarter of this year from 172 million cubic feet per day, oil production only rose 1.4% to 4,714 barrels per day from 4,650 barrels per day.
