PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI) Persero is trying to optimize the assets of sugar cane plantations. One of them is at the Madukismo RNI Group Sugar Factory (PG), located in Bantul, Yogyakarta.

Head of the Development of Other Plantation Plants at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Darto Wahab, said domestic sugar production based on sugar cane this year was 2.1 million tons. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the sugar sector in a sustainable manner involving sugar cane farmers.

"Currently, plantations in Indonesia are limited, so it is necessary to expand sugarcane plantations," said Darto through a press release on Monday (14/6).
