Brief of Company Background

799/5000PT Emdeki Utama is a company formed to produce Calcium Carbide (CaC2) for the purpose of import substitution which came from South Africa, China, Poland and Taiwan with an average of 25,000 tons with U $ 8 value , 75 million dollars per year from 1984 to 1986.PT Emdeki Utama started its trial production on November 10, 1987, followed by its commercial production commencing on February 1, 1988. In the next two years it has gained full public trust so that most of the carbide needs in Indonesia have been met by the production of PT Emdeki Utama . Even some of its products are exported to Japan, India, USA and others.From the results of a survey conducted in April 1990 it was found that the success of gaining public trust was due to the high quality and superiority of any imported carbide, in accordance with the evidence of independent Sucofindo consultant laboratory tests conducted several times since March 1988.The service and support of the mill to users of the MDQ Carb is also a major contributing factor to the public's trust. Fast delivery and availability everywhere make customers easy to buy and do not need to accumulate stock, consequently the burden of the cost so much lighter.Shorter hauling and storage time from factory to consumer ensures a really high quality, because the long stored carbide is reduced in size and the quality also decreases due to dust.MDQ Carbides are not as dusty as imported carbide, as imported imported carbides are on the way, often even stockpiled in Hong Kong or other intermediate ports resulting in a lot of dust and often more than 5%. By using MDB Carbits all those risks are no longer present.
